Daniel Faria was invited to co-organize a tutorial on Ontology Matching in the Biomedical Domain for the SWAT4(HC)LS Conference (Semantic Web Applications and Tools for Healthcare and Life Sciences), in Edimburgh, on December 9th.

Daniel prepared part of the materials, which included a demo of the Ontology Matching tool he developed, AgreementMakerLight, in collaboration with Henriette Harmse (EBI), Ian Harrow and Thomas Liener (Pistoia Alliance), Ernesto Jimenez-Ruiz (City, University of London) and Catia Pesquita (LASIGE, University of Lisbon).

Henriette, Ian and Thomas were present locally at the event, whereas Daniel and Ernesto attended remotely.

There were plenty of interested attendees for such a specialty topic as Ontology Matching, and ample interaction and discussion with the tutors.

The tutorial was successful and well received.
